The story
The walk back from Goat Island: over two footbridges, island to island, to the mainland, then along the rim past Prospect Point and the Welcome Center to Lot One. Stay on the paths and behind the railings.
Here's the way back. Follow the path to the footbridges and cross back over the rapids, island to island, to the mainland. Then follow the rim past the Maid of the Mist and Prospect Point, and on past the Welcome Center to your car in Lot One, just beyond it. At an easy pace it's about fifteen or twenty minutes. Take it slow: stay on the paths and behind every railing, and give the falls one last look.
