Cactus Flat

The story

Cactus Flat is the plain where the Exit 131 traffic meets Highway 240, with fuel at the Conoco and the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site visitor center across the interstate. From here it is open prairie to the Northeast Entrance, with no hint of the Wall until the last moment.

In about a mile, the Trading Post and its Conoco are on your left. That's the road, top of the stack to flat grass, read from the last page back. Thank you for riding it with Boone and me. If Boone's button stayed with you, the Minuteman Missile visitor center is past the interstate. We'd love some feedback on this tour, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a review. One last thing. Turn left into the Badlands Trading Post, at the Conoco.
